Cross Country Ski Report – February 4, 2015

Yesterday the trails groomed up beautifully with good deep tracks set and snow combed skating lanes that made for excellent conditions.  We received one and half inches of fresh snow last night. We will start grooming all the trails at dawn this morning, Ginzu snowcombing the skating lanes and setting fresh molded tracks on all trails. Excellent conditions prevail.  We have 9 to 14 inches of snow in the woods and 4 to 8 inches packed on the trails.

Forecast:

Today: Mostly cloudy with snow showers during the morning.  High 18F.  Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.  Chance of snow 60%.  Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Thursday: A mix of clouds and sun early, then becoming cloudy later in the day.  High 16F.  Winds WSW at 5 to mph.

Friday:  Snow showers developing in the afternoon.  Highs in the mid 20s and lows in the upper teens.

Today’s lunch special is the Mediterranean Wrap! This new creation features a big tortilla wrap, loaded with house made hummus, spinach, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, banana peppers, tomatoes, and feta cheese, then grilled on the panini press. Served with chips and a pickle, of course.
