Cross Country Ski Report – Friday, January 4th, 2013

The snow showers yesterday helped groomer Bob renovate and snowcomb the trails to a very high standard.

Groomers Stu and Dana will start grooming all the trails at 9:15am this morning.

Trails are in great shape.

We now have machine set tracks on all trails. Plus all trails are Ginzu groomed and have snowcombed skating lanes.

Today: Variable cloudiness and windy. High 26F. Winds WSW at 20 to 30 mph.

Tonight: Some clouds. Low near 20F. W winds at 15 to 25 mph, diminishing to 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Sunshine and clouds mixed. High around 30F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday night: Variable clouds with snow showers or flurries. Low 24F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 40%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Sunday: Variable clouds with snow showers or flurries. High 28 F. Winds NW at 9 mph. Chance of snow 40%.

New Snow: 1/2 inch

Snow Depth in Wood! s: 6 – 10 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 4 – 6 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are snow covered with a nice blanket of groomed snow! The Tall Pines trail has marginal tracks under the big pines.

Head to the Stone Turtle Day Lodge for lunch and enjoy Famous Spicy Chili as well as Veggie Chili. Both served with a warm sourdough roll.

Today’s Sandwiches and Paninis include a Turkey-Pesto Melt, Rocky Mountain Chipotle Veggie, and Bob’s favorite Black Olive Jalapeno Tuna. All served with chips and a large pickle.
