Cross Country Ski Report – Friday, March 14

As of 7:30 am the temperature was 30F and Ginzu Dana is making good progress Ginzu grooming and snowcombing all the skating lanes. As the temps warm a bit he will be able to set deep fresh tracks on all the trails.   

All 8 trails are open for a total of 18 kilometers (11 miles) of classic skiing and skate skiing. Depth of packed snow ranges from 10  to 16 inches (24 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 12 to 24 inches. Good to very good spring skiing conditions for classic and skate skiing prevail. 

Today: Mostly cloudy. Chance of wintry mix. Highs in the low 40’s. 20% chance of precipitation.

Tonight: Snow showers. Low 20F.

Saturday: Colder and sunny. Possible snow in the morning. Highs in the mid 20’s. Winds NW 5 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Sunny. High 19F. Winds NW 5 to 10 mph.

Today’s lunch special is the Bob’s Favorite Tuna Panini: flaked albacore tuna, sliced fresh tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, black olives, spinach/arugula blend and provolone, grilled to perfection on Stone House Bread. Of course Veggie Chili, Spicy Chili and a variety of other paninis will also be on today’s menu.

The forecast looks very good for X-C Skiing this weekend!
