Michigan Cup Champions 2020 - Cross Country Ski Headquarters Nordic Race Team

Cross Country Ski Report – Friday, March 5th

Conditions remains very good on the Rolling Hills, Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, and Trappers Cabin trails, thanks to good grooming and cold overnight temps. Groomer Mike will snowcomb these trails this morning. Most of the trail surface is ground up snow, which is great to ski on, but there are a couple of icy spots and minimal debris. Overall, skating conditions are mostly great on these trails. Classic tracks are well-entrenched and quite icy, but there is adequate of snow in the skate lanes to catch an edge with classic trees. We have 6-14 inches inches of snow in the woods, and 2-6 inches packed on most of the trail surface. Due to ice and debris, we have closed the Manitou and Tall Pines trails for the time being.
