Cross Country Ski Report – Monday, December 24th, 2012

Last evening the Manitou and Trapper’s Cabin trails were Ginzu groomed and snowcombed. This morning the rest of the trails will be Ginzu groomed and snowcombed. Tracks are holding up very well. Very nice conditions.

Today: Cloudy skies with afternoon snow showers. High 27F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 50%. About one inch of snow expected.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with snow showers around before midnight. Low 18F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 40%

Christmas Day: Mostly cloudy. High 26F. Winds light and variable.

Christmas night: Considerable cloudiness. Low 14F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph

New Snow: trace

Snow Depth in Woods: 6 – 9 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 4 – 6 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are snow coved with a nice blanket of snow! There are a few oak leaves on the trails.

En! joy Famous Spicy Chili as well as Veggie Chili. Both served with a 7 grain roll. Today’s Sandwiches and Paninis include a Turkey-Pesto Melt, Rocky Mountain Chipotle Veggie, and Bob’s favorite Black Olive Jalapeno Tuna. All served with chips and a large pickle.

Tomorrow (Christmas Day) the parking lot and trails will be open but the Headquarters will not be.
