Yesterday’s Paella feast was a huge success. Chef / Coach / Instructor Mariah cooked up 60 pounds of her best Paella ever and it was gone in 35 minutes. She says she will cook 120 pounds next time!

Groomer Stu will start Ginzu snowcombing and setting fresh tracks if needed on all the trails early this morning. He will start with the Mackinac Cut – Wild Turkey trails first, once they complete they will go to the Rolling Hills trail and then to the rest.

The Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey, Rolling Hills, Tall Pines, Trapper’s Cabin, Manitou, Adventure and Blizzard trails are all in excellent condition for classic skiing and skate skiing.

Today: Some snow showers possible early with any snow changing to a few showers later. Some sleet may mix in. High 37F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precip 60%.

Tonight: Evening rain followed by a mix of rain and snow overnight. Low 26F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tuesday: Windy with snow showers evolving to a steady snow. High 26F. Winds W at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Tuesday night: Windy. Snow in the evening will give way to snow showers overnight. Low around 10F. Winds NW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 2 to 4 inches of snow expected.

Wednesday: A few snow showers possible, windy. Highs in the upper teens and lows in the upper single digits.

New Snow: 1 inch

Snow Depth in Woods: 10 to 15 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 5 – 10 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are groomed and snow covered. No ice, No Glaze. No bare spots.

Chef Erin will offer an array of sandwiches, Paninis (all served on Stone House Bread) and Famous Spicy chili and Veggie chili in the Stone Turtle Day Lodge today.
