Cross Country Ski Report – Monday, January 21st, 2013

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Not only did we receive 3 to 4 inches late Saturday night and early Sunday, the snow continued on and off throughout the day yesterday.
Tracks are set on the Rolling Hills, Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey and Trapper’s cabin trails.

Groomer Stu will be Ginzu grooming and snowcombing the skating lanes on all trails starting very early this morning. The Rolling Hills, Mackinac Cut and Wild Turkey trails will be ready to skate on by 10AM.

Great conditions.

Today: Variably cloudy with snow showers. Cold. High 8F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snowfall around one inch.

Tonight: Occasional snow showers. Low -1F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%. 1 to 2 inches of snow expected.

Tuesday: Occasional snow showers. Cold. High 7F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tuesday night: Occasional snow showers. Low 2F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.! Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulating 1 to 2 inches.

New Snow: 4 to 5 inches since Saturday night

Snow Depth in Woods: 5 to 7 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 2 – 5 inches
