Cross Country Ski Report – Monday, January 7th, 2013

We were very lucky to just get snow yesterday! Although it was wet snow it covered up the pine needles and made the classic tracks great to ski on. As of 6:30AM the temperature was 26F. This will make grooming the fresh snow this morning a pleasure.

Groomer Dana will be snowcombing and grooming all the trails throughout this morning.

Today: Windy. Mostly cloudy skies will become partly cloudy this afternoon. High 34F. Winds SSW at 20 to 30 mph

Tonight: Mostly cloudy skies. High around 35F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph

Tuesday: Mostly sunny skies with gusty winds. High 34F. Winds SSW at 20 to 30 mph.

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy and windy. Low 29F. Winds SSW at 20 to 30 mph.

Wednesday: Windy with a few snow showers. Highs in the mid 30s and lows in the low 20s.

New Snow: 1.5 inches of dense heavy snow

Snow Depth in Woods: 5 – 9 inches

Packed Sn! ow Depth on Trails: 4 – 6 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are snow covered. The Tall Pines trail has marginal tracks under the big pines.
