Stu skate skiing early season cross country ski headquarters

Cross Country Ski Report – Monday, Nov 21st

We snowcombed skate lanes and rolled-in tracks on the Blizzard and practice area yesterday with good results. About 1.5km in total. The HQ crew skied this morning and, despite grass sticking up in places, it’s really quite awesome for November. Rock skis are recommended (good skis if you can maneuver around the grass), and our rental desk is open for rock ski rentals. You are welcome to ski across the street on the main trail system too, but please wear orange and go during the middle of the day. We recommend using liquid or paste glide wax in the grip section of all “fish scale” no-wax skis, to prevent the snow from sticking to your bases. *We will not be grooming the main trail network until firearm deer season is over December 1st.
