Cross Country Ski Report – New Years Eve

We received just enough fresh snow last night to enable groomer Dana to Ginzu groom the skating lanes to a very high standard this morning. The fresh snow will also help him groom out the old tracks and cut in fresh ones which will result in very good to excellent conditions today.

We have 8 trails open for a total of 18 kilometers (11.2 miles) and all are in very good to excellent condition.

Depth of packed snow ranges from 6 to 8 inches (17 inches in the Blizzard XC Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 10 to 16 inches.

Today, Mostly cloudy with snow showers in the morning. High 9F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

Wednesday, Mostly cloudy with a few snow showers. High 10F. Winds light and variable.

Thursday, Partly cloudy, High 10F. Wind NE @ 7.

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge special today is Bob’s Tuna Panini, made with fresh spinach, jalapenos and provolone. Very tasty! Spicy chili and veggie chili served with a warm 7 grain roll and whole host of paninis and sandwiches made with Stone House bread are also on today’s menu.

We have the clothing to keep you warm!
