Cross Country Ski Report – Saturday, January 26th, 2013

We received upwards of 3 to 4 inches of fresh snow since yesterday morning and as of 6:30 AM it was still snowing!

We snowcombed all the trails yesterday morning and set tracks in the late afternoon on all the trails except Manitou and Adventure, with great results. Even the Tall Pines trail has great machine set tracks now!

At dawn this morning Groomers Stu and Bob will Ginzu snowcomb all the trails and set tracks on the Manitou and Adventure trails.

All trails are in very good to excellent condition.

Today: Snow showers this morning becoming more scattered later. High around 25F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 40%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tonight: Some clouds. Low near 5F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Cloudy skies. High 29F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday night: Cloudy with snow showers in the evening and steady snow likely after midnight. Low 24F. Winds SSE at 10! to 15 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulating 1 to 2 inches.

New Snow: 3 to 4 inches

Snow Depth in Woods: 8 to 10 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 3 – 7 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All the trails are snow covered. No Ice, no bare spots and no glaze.

Grill Cook Jenny Stone will make a special appearance on the Stone Turtle Day Lodge Sun Deck to Fire Grill your choice of Seafood, Lean Beef Burgers or Black Bean Veggie Burgers.

Tonight, experience the magic of winter in a whole new light! We will light the Trapper’s Cabin trail with torches, creating a truly unique and memorable nighttime experience. We will also have a bonfire and serve hot chocolate at Trapper’s Cabin from 6-8:30PM.
