Cross Country Ski Report – Saturday, March 15th

Warmed up yesterday afternoon but cooled off last night. As of 7am this morning the temperature was 23F. Groomer Henry will have his work cut out for him Ginzu grooming the transformed snow.

With out being groomed, the trails today would be tough to ski on.  Henry will start grooming early this morning and the first trails should be ready  by 10am. 

All 8 trails are open for a total of 18 kilometers (11 miles) of classic skiing and skate skiing. Depth of packed snow ranges from 7  to 16 inches (24 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 10 to 20 inches. Good, frozen snow, spring skiing conditions for classic and skate skiing prevail. 

Today: Mostly cloudy. Scattered flurries through out the day. Highs in the mid 20’s. Winds NW 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Sunny. High 19F. Winds NW 5 to 10 mph.

Today is Chili Supreme Saturday!

Build your own gourmet Chili Lunch with Cross Country Ski Headquarters Famous Chili or Veggie Chili to start with. Then add such toppings as these: diced fresh jalapenos, diced fresh poblano peppers, diced white onion, diced red onion, Sharp Cheddar cheese, Blue cheese, Mozzarella cheese, cucumber Chobani yogurt or sour cream. Then help yourself to some fresh baked cornbread and real butter!  You might never be the same!

This would be a good day to demo (at no charge) some Rossignol BC 65 steel edged X-C skis. They are on sale too!
