Cross Country Ski Report – Sunday, December 29, 2013

Beautiful day of X-C Skiing yesterday. Temps warmed up but the snow stayed firm. Looks like a little more snow coming in this afternoon along with cooler temps. Groomer Dana will start Ginzu grooming all the trails early this morning.

We have 8 trails open for a total of 18 kilometers (11.2 miles) and all are in excellent condition.

Depth of packed snow ranges from 6 to 8 inches (17 inches in the Blizzard XC Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 9 to 16 inches

Today, Dec 29: Windy with snow showers this afternoon. Morning high of 27F and falling to 15F. Winds NW 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 1 to 2 inches of snow expected.

Tonight,  Windy with snow showers. Low 2F. Winds NNW 15 to 25 mph. chance of snow 70%. 1 to 2 inches expected.

Monday, Intermittent snow showers. High 13. Winds WSW 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge special today is Spicy chili and veggie chili served with a 7 grain roll. A whole host of paninis, Bosco sticks and sandwiches are also on today’s menu.
