The Rolling Hills, Manitou, Trapper’s Cabin, Tall Pines, Blizzard, Mackinac Cut, Adventure and Wild Turkey trails have excellent snowcombed skating and deep set tracks for excellent classical conditions.

Bean Bomb Nachos will be cooked up by Houghton Lake legendary Chef Stretch Terrian from noon to 3 this afternoon. Feast on layers of heavy tortilla chips loaded with Bob’s signature spicy Bean Bomb, melted sharp cheddar cheese, black olives, onions, tomatoes and sour cream. Of course, the regular menu in the Day Lodge will still be available.

Our selection of skis, boots, poles and bindings is very strong and diverse for racing and touring, and there is no charge to try any of them. Team XC Ski HQ had an awesome showing at yesterday’s VASA festival of races, including several top 10 finishes. Alex Vanias finished second overall in the 50km freestyle race, and Ryan Halstead finished 6th overall. For the women, Kaitlyn Patterson finished second overall in the 50km freestyle, and Mariah Frye took 6th and Catarina Gulledge took 10th for the 27km freestyle. Lee Ries took 8th overall for the 27km classic race. There were many other great finishes as well. Way to go, team!
