Cross Country Ski Report – Sunday, January 5th, 2013

As of 7:15 AM the temperature was 32 F. We have received close to an inch of very wet snow and it was still snowing.

We will hold off grooming the skating lanes until the temps get below 30 which should be around 11AM.

We have machine set tracks on all trails and with this fresh snow the classic skiing will be the best choice for this morning.

Today: A period of steady light snow is likely between 10am and noon. Cloudy with temperatures steady in the low 30s. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40% Chance of snow 40%.

Tonight: Becoming mostly clear later with any flurries or snow showers ending by midnight. Low 17F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 30%.

Monday: Mostly sunny skies with gusty winds. High 34F. Winds SSW at 20 to 30 mph.

Monday night: Partly cloudy skies during the evening will give way to cloudy skies overnight. Low 27F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph.

New Snow: 1 inch

Snow Depth in Woods: 5 – 9 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 4 – 6 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are snow covered. The Tall Pines trail has marginal tracks under the big pines.
