It was a great day of X-C Skiing yesterday. Congratulations to Devan Thielfoldt for winning the 2013 Cross Country Ski Headquarters Team Ambassador Award.

Groomer Stu will Ginzu snowcombed all the trails yesterday morning and reset tracks where needed. He will do the same this morning.

The Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey, Rolling Hills, Trapper’s Cabin, Manitou, Adventure and Blizzard trails all have fresh groomed snow on a solid base. The tracks are set. The skating lanes are in excellent condition. The Tall Pines trail has some thin spots, Ginzu snowcombed skating lanes and shallow tracks set.

Today: Mainly cloudy. A few peeks of sunshine possible. High 38F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Overcast. Low 24F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph

Monday: Mostly cloudy skies early. A few snow showers developing later in the day. High near 35F. Winds NNE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 30%

Monday night: A few snow sho! wers scattered about the area in the evening, otherwise a good deal of clouds. Low near 25F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 30%.

Tuesday: Snow showers. Highs in the upper 30s and lows in the mid 20s.

New Snow: 0 inches

Snow Depth in Woods: 7 to 12 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 5 – 9 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are covered with freshly groomed snow

Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge menu includes Famous Spicy Chili and Veggie Chili both served with a sourdough roll and a number of sandwiches and Paninis made with freshly baked Stone House bread.

The “March Madness, aka Labor Day Sale” is in full swing as is the demo center, where you can try a multitude of skis to find just the right pair for you.
