Cross Country Ski Report – Thursday, January 19th

Because it got well below freezing last night, Ginzu Dana set off on a grooming mission late in the evening to comb the softer snow and reset classic tracks on all trails. The results of the classic tracks were great, and results of the skating lanes were very good, and since the trails had all night to set up, skiing should be quite good today for classic and skating. These conditions make it a great opportunity to try metal edged classic skis, as well as “skin” skis with a mohair grip zone.

Today: Overcast. High 39F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy. Low 28F. Winds light and variable.

Tomorrow: Light rain in the afternoon. Areas of freezing rain possible. High 36F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 60%.

Last night's grooming efforts yielded very good results!

The Stone Turtle Day Lodge lunch special is Bob’s Favorite Tuna Panini! Flaked Albacore tuna, jalepenos, black olives, banana peppers, provolone, spinach and red onion, grilled and served hot on ciabatta bread. Served with Great Lakes Potato Chips and a dill pickle spear!

Metal edged skis and skin skis are available for demos and rentals today, and make for really fun skiing in these warmer conditions. Don’t forget that we have many great sales on both ski equipment and softgoods. Stop in or call to start shopping!

See you at HQ!
