Cross Country Ski Report – Thursday, January 30th, 2014

Conditions remain excellent. Much warmer today, temperature was already 14F at 7:30am. Tracks are deep and firm and the skating lanes are snowcombed and well set up. Ginzu Dana started renovating and snowcombing all the trails earlier this morning.

All 8 trails are open for a total of 18 kilometers (11 miles) of classic and skate skiing. Depth of packed snow ranges from 11 to 19 inches (24 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 16 to 36 inches. Conditions are excellent for classic and skate skiing.

Today: Partly sunny in the morning with snow developing this afternoon. High 24F. Winds SSW 20 to 30. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 1 to 2 inches.

Friday: Partly cloudy. High 18F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Possible snow showers. High 20F. Wind ESE at 3 mph. Chance of snow 30%.

Today’s lunch special is a Classic Ham and Cheese panini: sliced Black Forest ham,  sliced tomatoes, provolone and brown mustard served on Stone House bread and grilled to perfection by Chef Fran.  Of course Famous Spicy Chili and Veggi Chili will also be served with a warm 7 grain roll along with a variety of wraps, paninis and Bosco sticks!
