Cross Country Ski Report – Tuesday, February 5th, 2013

Groomer Bob was so impressed with how the trails groomed up yesterday that he skied them right after work, followed closely by most of the rest of the crew!

The Rolling Hills, Mackinac Cut, Adventure and Wild Turkey trails have excellent conditions. The Manitou, Blizzard, and Trapper’s Cabin trails have very good conditions. The Tall Pines trail has good conditions.

Groomer Stu will be Ginzu grooming all the trails this morning.

Today: Cloudy with intermittent snow showers and flurries becoming a steady light snow later. High 24F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 90%

Tonight: Snow showers this evening becoming more scattered later. Low around 5F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

Wednesday: Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 24F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday night: Cloudy skies with late-night snow showers. Low 16F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. Snow accumulating 1 to 2 inches.

Thursday: Snow likely. Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the upper teens.

New Snow: 1 inch

Snow Depth in Woods: 7 to 10 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 4 – 7 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are groomed and snow covered. No ice, No Glaze. No barespots.

We’re starting to further mark down cross country skis and cross country ski packages, plus winter clothing and cold weather active wear. Now is the time to ski and shop!
