Cross Country Ski Report – Tuesday, January 1st, 2013

Happy New Year! Yesterday groomer Bob renovated the trails with the Ginzu groomer. In the late afternoon he groomed the Manitou, and Blizzard trails. These trails will be great to ski on this morning.

We have machine set tracks on all trails. Plus all trails are Ginzu groomed and have snowcombed skating lanes.

Groomer Bob will start Ginzu grooming the Rolling Hills, Trapper’s Cabin, Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey, Adventure and Tall Pines trails at 9AM this morning.

Today: Snow flurries around this morning. High near 20F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 50%.

Tonight: Some clouds. Low 13F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Mainly cloudy. High near 25F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Cloudy. A few flurries are possible. Low near 20F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with a chance of snow. High of 25F. Winds from the W at 5 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

Snow Depth in Woods: 5 – 8 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 4 – 6 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are snow coved with a nice blanket of groomed snow!

In the Stone Turtle Day Lodge enjoy Famous Spicy Chili as well as Veggie Chili. Both served with a fresh baked sourdough roll.

Today’s Sandwiches and Paninis include a Turkey-Pesto Melt, Rocky Mountain Chipotle Veggie, and Bob’s favorite Black Olive Jalapeno Tuna. All served with chips and a large pickle.
