Cross Country Ski Report – Tuesday, March 4th

The snow is falling and the temps are rising! As of 7:30 we have received close to 2 inches of fresh powder, it is still snowing and it is 9 degrees already. This will enable Ginzu Dana to set beautiful tracks and smooth skating lanes this morning as he grooms all the trails.

All 8 trails are open for a total of 18 kilometers (11 miles) of classic skiing and skate skiing. Depth of packed snow ranges from 15 to 25 inches (34 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 18 to 38 inches. Conditions are very very good to excellent for classic and skate skiing.

Today: Snow in the morning. High 22F. Light winds. Chance of snow 70%. Accumulation around 1 inch.

Wednesday: Sunny. High 20F. winds NE 5 to 10

The West Side Blues Band and chef German Dave’s slow cooked ribs were a big hit during Sunday’s Ribs & Blues event!

Today’s lunch special is the Italian Sammy: thin slices of pepperoni and salami, layered with fresh tomatoes, red onions, spinach, black olives, banana peppers, provolone and a bit of Marinara sauce, grilled perfectly and served with pickle and chips. Of course Spicy Chili and a variety of paninis will also be on today’s menu.

Looks like a fine day to go X-C Skiing!
