Cross Country Ski Report – Tuesday, March 5th, 2013

Ski conditions are holding up very well. Late yesterday afternoon the trails started to harden up and get fast. That is why we groom every day! As of 7AM this morning the temperature was 4 F.

The Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey, Rolling Hills, Tall Pines, Trapper’s Cabin, Manitou, Adventure and Blizzard trails all have excellent conditions for classic and skate skiing.

Groomer Stu will be Ginzu snowcombing all the skating lanes this morning and setting fresh tracks where needed.

Today: Partly cloudy. High 32F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Snow flurries early. Cloudy with a few snow showers possible late at night. Low 23F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 30%

Wednesday: Snow flurries around in the morning. High 36F. Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Times of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 30s and lows in the upper teens.

New Snow: 0 inches

Snow Depth ! in Woods: 12 to 15 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 6 – 12 inches

Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge special is a grilled California Reuben made with Stone House bread, sliced turkey, Cole slaw, provolone and very special sauce. Of course a variety sandwiches will be served as well as Famous Chili and Veggie Chili.
