Cross Country Ski Report – Wednesday, December 18th

We received another inch or so of light powder since yesterday. The trails are all groomed and tracks are freshly set.

The Rolling Hills, Mainitou, Mackinaw Cut, Wild Turkey, Trapper’s Cabin and Adventure Trails are in very good to excellent condition. The Tall Pines and  Blizzard trails are in very good condition. Tracks are machine set on all trails.

We have 8 trails open for a total of 17 kilometers (10.7 miles)

Depth of packed snow ranges from 4 to 14 inches (14 inches in the Blizzard XC Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 8 to 15 inches

Today, Dec 18:  Cloudy. High 21F. Winds SW to 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday, Dec 19: Cloudy. High 28F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday, Dec 20: Morning snow.  High 23. Winds ENE at 7 mph. 1 to 2 inches of snow expected.

The lunch special in the Stone Turtle Day Lodge today is famous spicy chili with a 7 grain roll. The pesto veggie panini and classic ham & cheese paninis are the best ever.
