Cross Country Ski Report – Wednesday, February 27th, 2013

As of 6 AM this morning the temperature was 31 F and we have received upwards of 2 inches of fresh snow and the snow continues to fall.
The Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey, Rolling Hills, Tall Pines, Trapper’s Cabin, Manitou, Adventure and Blizzard trails all have excellent conditions for skate and classic skiing.
This fresh snow is just what Groomer young Bob needs when he starts grooming early this morning.

Today: Periods of light snow. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 30s. Winds NE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tonight: Variable clouds with snow showers. Low around 25F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 60%

Thursday: A few snow showers around in the morning, otherwise mostly cloudy. High around 30F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 30%.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy skies. Low 12F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph.

Friday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 20s and lows in the mid single digits.

Today’s Stone Turtle day Lodge Special Famous Spicy Chili or Veggie chili served with a warm sourdough roll. The Tuna, Turkey and Veggie Panini sandwiches served on Stone House bread are also on the menu. T
oday will be a great day to try out some new skis or boots at no charge. We are a Demo and Race Center for Fischer, Salomon and Atomic skis and boots. We are also a Rossignol and Alpina Demo/Touring center. We just received the new Fischer Speed Max Skate skis and you are most welcome to give them a try.
