Cross Country Ski Report – Wednesday, February 6th, 2013

It snowed lightly most of the day yesterday, accumulating a little over 2 inches. Just enough for this morning’s groomers to reset the tracks.

The Rolling Hills, Manitou, Trapper’s Cabin, Mackinac Cut, Adventure and Wild Turkey trails have excellent conditions. The Tall Pines trail has great conditions.

Groomers old Bob & Stu will be Ginzu snowcombing and setting fresh tracks all the trails early this morning.

Today: A mix of clouds and sun. High 24F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph

Tonight: Scattered snow showers with snow becoming steadier and heavier late. Low 17F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 80%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.

Wednesday night: Cloudy skies with late-night snow showers. Low 16F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. Snow accumulating 1 to 2 inches.

Thursday: Snow likely. High 29F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches.
Thursday night:Snow in the evening will give way to lingering snow showers overnight. Low 17F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 70%. 1 to 2 inches of snow expected.

Friday: Morning clouds followed by afternoon sun. Highs in the low 20s and lows in the mid single digits.

Saturday: Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the mid teens.

New Snow: 2 inches

Snow Depth in Woods: 8 to 11 inches

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: 4 – 8 inches

Ice, Glaze, Barespots: All trails are groomed and snow covered. No ice, No Glaze. No barespots.

Hot Paninis and Famous Spicy Chili and Veggie Chili are on the Stone Turtle Day Lodge menu as is Broccoli Butternut Soup homemade by chef Lynne.
