Cross Country Ski Report – Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014

Trails groomed up very nicely yesterday. Even though it is cold remember what X-C Ski Instructor / Racer Fran would say “there are no bad weather days just bad clothing days”! Fran came in from teaching the 4H class yesterday afternoon and reported she was warm as toast during the whole lesson.

Ginzu Dana will start grooming all the trails at 7:30am this morning.

All 8 trails are open for a total of 18 kilometers (11 miles) of classic and skate skiing. Depth of packed snow ranges from 7 to 17 inches (20 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 12 to 20 inches. Conditions are excellent for classic and skate skiing

Today, Snow showers becoming steadier later. High 11F. Winds SSE 5 to 10 mph. Snow accumulating 1 to 2 inches.

Thursday, Partly cloudy. High 5F. Winds N 10 to 15 mph.

Friday, Snow showers. High 18F. Winds SW 15 to 25.

Today’s lunch special is another pot of homemade Creamy Potato Mushroom Soup served with a warm slice of 7 grain bread. The large slices of  mushrooms taste really good!  Famous spicy chili and Veggie chili will also be served along with a variety of sandwiches and paninis.
