The rain came last night, but it did not melt all the snow! Thank goodness for the Sunday night’s snowfall and that our groomers packed it well on Monday.
The good news is that the ground is still frozen hard as a rock and we have a good 3 to 5 inch base left. With 8 to 15 inches of snow forecast through Friday morning we should be in great shape for the weekend.
In order for the trails to freeze up and preserve the snow pack there will be no use of the trails today, but we will have a fire in the Stone Turtle Day Lodge fireplace and we will be serving lunch.
The only skiing will be in the Blizzard X-C ski park.
