Model Year 2023/24. This ski was previously known as the Escape 5 Grip, but was re-branded as the Escape 51 Plus for 23/24.  Ski weight = 1500 grams for a 198 cm length. Side cut 51-48-46-49 mm. Sizes: 174cm (skier weight 85 to 120 lbs), 182cm (110 to 145 lbs), 190cm (130 to 165 lbs), 198cm (155 to 190 lbs), and 206cm (190+ lbs). A smooth and steady recreational ski, the Salomon Escape 51 Plus is made for winter fun! Designed for recreational skiers, the waxless Salomon Escape 51 Plus offers maximum control and ease. Its low heel-toe camber and G2 Plus grip give it a secure waxless kick. Built to improve glide and acceleration, it provides easy kick and compression when pressing with the forefoot, but remains lifted when pressing with the mid or rear of the foot. Light carving “S-Cut” side cut behind the foot and a wider platform at the front-foot provide more control and stability, especially when descending out of the tracks. Light and consistent core made with uni-directional fiberglass wrap and pre-shaped Densolite foam, ensuring these skis have a solid base. Low pressure, robust stone grinding for easy glide in all snow conditions. Digital control of the molding press enables the generation of optimal flex and camber for specific performance on snow, and also ensures perfect ski pairing. Use on and off trail 70/30.
