XC Ski Report 3/28 – Great Weekend of Skiing Ahead!

We received some light rain last night and it is changing to wet snow this morning as of 8:45am. The snow pack is wet but fine for X-C skiing. We will hold off on grooming to prevent damaging the snow pack. We will be grooming all the trails very early Saturday morning, trails should be great for the weekend!

Depth of packed snow ranges from 6 to 17 inches (26 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 6 to 18 inches. Spring conditions for classic and skate skiing prevail on all 8 trails that total 11. 5 miles.

Today: Snow showers early and mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Temps in the mid 30’s. Winds NW 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulation less than 1 inch.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 18F. Winds N at 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny in the afternoon. High 37F. Winds NE 5 to 10 mph.

Today’s lunch special is Bob’s Favorite Tuna Panini: albacore tuna, jalapenos, black olives, leafy green spinach, sliced fresh tomatoes and Provolone served on a ciabatta and grilled to perfection. Of course a variety of other paninis and Spicy Chili will also be on today’s menu all prepared by Chef Fran.
