XC Ski Report 3/29/14 – Amazing Spring Skiing Condition!

As of 7 am this morning the temperature was 26F. Plenty cool enough to enable Groomer Stu to to snowcomb the skating lanes into magic carpets.. A perfect morning for skating. By noon the temps come up to freezing so classic skiing will be great this afternoon. Stu will start grooming early this morning.

Depth of packed snow ranges from 5  to 14 inches (26 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 5 to 16 inches. Spring conditions for classic and skate skiing prevail on all 8 trails that total 11. 5 miles.

Today: Cloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. High 37F. Winds NE 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Low 16F. Winds ESE 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny. High 45F. Winds ESE 5 to 10 mph.

Today’s lunch special is Sweet Baby Ray BBQ Ribs & Cole slaw.. Slowly cooked and very tender.

This afternoon the Cross Country Ski HQ Team will be getting together to ski, eat and make plans for next season.
