XC Ski Report – Saturday, March 22nd

We received an inch of snow last night and are forecast for more today..This is just what groomer Stu needs to make the trails all brand new again. He will start grooming early this morning.

Depth of packed snow ranges from 5 to 17 inches (24 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 8 to 20 inches. Fresh Ginzu groomed conditions for classic and skate skiing prevail. Skating lanes are excellent and fresh tracks are shallow for classic.

Today: Mostly cloudy: Scattered flurries. Highs in the upper 20’s. Winds NW 5 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny with scattered flurries. High 22F. Winds NW 5 to 10 mph.

This is a great time of the year to enjoy fresh snow on crust snow. You stay on top, can go anywhere and it is not icy!

Today is Chili Supreme Saturday! Build your own gourmet Chili Lunch with Cross Country Ski Headquarters Famous Chili or Veggie Chili to start with. Then add such toppings as these: diced fresh jalapenos, diced fresh poblano peppers, diced white onion, diced red onion, Cheddar/Jack cheese, Blue cheese, cucumber Chobani yogurt or sour cream. Then help yourself to some fresh baked cornbread and real butter! You might never be the same!

Also on today’s menu is our super tasty Pulled Pork Sandwich: tender pork, roasted and bbq’d, served on a roll with veggies and chips on the side. Mmmm good!

Looks like a fine day to X-C Ski! Plus, the March Madness Sale is underway!
