These are our real daily trail reports, written each morning by the same crew who grooms the trails. We are a full service cross country ski shop and trail system in Roscommon, Michigan, and these reports come straight from people walking and grooming the snow, not modeled forecasts. Reports typically cover skate and classic conditions separately, since a good skate day is not always a good classic day. A little dusting of snow last night and some cool temps have the trails looking stellar! All trails are freshly snow combed as of this morning. Classic tracks are still in good shape. Enjoy! Weather Forecast Today: A mix of clouds and sun. High 26F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy skies early will give way to cloudy skies late.
After some slightly warmer temps yesterday, below freezing temps overnight, a bit of fresh snow, and fresh grooming this morning, the skating is the best of the season! Classic tracks are also intact and in good shape on all trails. Watch for oak leaves in the tracks on Manitou. Enjoy it out there, it’s fantastic!
Conditions are fabulous. Our base is very strong and the trails have a fresh snow comb as of this morning. Temps will rise today, so best conditions will be earlier. Enjoy lunch at the Stone Turtle Cafe today, and demo a new pair of skis for free!
After a great weekend of skiing, we’re ready to get back at it! Groomer Butch is out freshening up all the trails and this week surely looks warmer than the last, with good skiing ahead!
Grooming Mike is out snowcombing the fresh bit of snow we received last night, and conditions are excellent! Looking like a wonderful weekend for skiing!
We received 2-3 inches of snow this morning so far. The grooming team has snow combed all the trails and is resetting tracks on Tall Pines and Trappers Cabin. The plan is to set fresh tracks on the rest of the trails tomorrow after the snowfall ends. All trails are open and it’s wintery magic to the highest degree out there! Weather Forecast Today:

It doesn’t get much better than this, folks! Clear blue skies, fresh tracks and grooming, hot fires, good food, and tons of snow. This is the winter we’ve been waiting for!
