Cross Country Ski Report: Friday, February 2nd

After a few warm nights, the trails have seen better days, but most of the trail network is still “skiable”. There are several bare spots and some wetter sections starting to form, but most of them can easily be skied around. Skating is not recommended, and classic skiing should be done in the middle of the trail, as the tracks have been worn through in most places. Snow Doctor Mitch will be out this morning doing small patch work. The sections that were wet last night froze up a bit so there may be some icy patches out there. Trapper’s Cabin is the most skiable, Adventure and Manitou are passable, Rolling Hills can be done with patience, Tall Pines and Wild Turkey are the least skiable, but someone skied them both yesterday and didn’t even have to portage. The air will be fresh and the sun will be shining; the rest is up you!

Today’s Forecast: High 20’s before noon and partly cloudy, low 30’s in the afternoon with full sun. Light and variable winds.
