Cross Country Ski Report – Thursday, February 6th

We were very busy yesterday. Ginzu Dana groomed extensively resetting the tracks and snowcombing the skating lanes. The cooler temps have firmed up the snow pack. The light snow we received this morning will help Dana as he Ginzu grooms all the trails today.

All 8 trails are open for a total of 18 kilometers (11 miles) of classic and skate skiing. Depth of packed snow ranges from 13 to 24 inches (26 inches in the Blizzard X-C Ski Park where we make snow). Depth of unpacked snow ranges from 17 to 38 inches. Conditions are excellent for classic and skate skiing.

Today Snow flurries in the morning will give way to partly sunny skies in the afternoon. High near 15F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph..

Friday: Partly sunny. High 16F. Winds SW 15 to 25 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny. High 17F. Winds S @ 6 mph.

There are many ways to turn around on X-C Skis!!

Today’s lunch special is our Turkey Pesto Panini; sliced oven roasted turkey, spinach, tomatoes, provolone and basil pesto on Stone House bread grilled to perfection by chef Erin. Famous Chili and a fine selection of paninis and sandwiches are also on today’s menu.

Great skiing continues!
