Good morning! We received another 1-2 inches of snow last night. All trails are open, and Groomer Mike has packed/rolled them. We have about 4-6″ of packed snow on the trails, and 10-12″ in the woods. As it is early in the season, there are some low spots, but overall it’s very good for December 2nd! Cross Country Ski Report for Monday, December 1st

Greetings, skiers! What a way to start the season! We have received about 10-12″ of snow since Thanksgiving. A great many skiers have enjoyed the copious snow and rustic conditions on the trails, which thus far have been ungroomed due to the moisture in the snow. Now that the snow has dried out and the ground has gotten colder, Groomer Mike will roll/pack the […]
Ski Report: Friday, November 28th

What an amazing Thanksgiving gift! We received 8″ of fresh snow over the past 2 days and the snowy woods are a welcome sight! The ground is still not quite frozen, so we will not be grooming today, but the trails are open for powder skiing and rentals. Our plan is to at least pack the snow sometime before tomorrow evening, and then if […]

Ski Report: Thank you all for a fabulous ski season! This will be the last ski report until we get more snow, in which case we will send out another ski report. Cross Country Ski Report – Saturday, March 8th

The skiing was wonderful yesterday, and while the sun created a bit more ice for today’s conditions, Groomer Mike snowcombed all the trails with the exception of Tall Pines and Wild Turkey last night, and we expect conditions to be good to great. The skiing should be fast and fun! There is not enough conformable snow to create new tracks, but the old tracks […]
Cross Country Ski Report – Friday, March 7th

Amazingly, most of the trails are still in pretty good shape! Groomer Mike snowcombed almost everything today, with the exception of Tall Pines and Wild Turkey. Manitou has some slick sections that we plan to chew up and smooth out. Skate lanes are good on everything else. There may be some crusty spots at the bottom of hills, but the skiing should be fast and […]
Cross Country Ski Report – Thursday, March 6th

After rain, wind, and a half inch of fresh snow, the trails are quite skiable, and the surface is a mixture of crust and fresh snow. Remarkably, the tracks are still pretty nice with the fresh snow in them! We plan to snow comb tomorrow (Friday), and while fresh classic tracks will unlikely be possible, we expect the skate lanes to offer some really […]
Cross Country Ski Report – Monday, March 3rd

This will be the last day of grooming for a few days. Groomer Butch will snow comb all the trails this morning. Expect many great stretches, fast downhills, occasional crusty spots, and bits of debris from the wind. Classic tracks are glazed over. Please be warned that Manitou has some large ruts crossing the trail at the powerlines that need to be traversed with […]

Happy spring skiing! Groomer Mike will snow comb Rolling Hills, Trappers cabin, Mackinaw Cut and Wild Turkey this morning. Tall Pines and Adventure are open, but ungroomed, as the snow needs to freeze up a bit more to handle the groomer.
